Children and young people
Sessions for children and young people, with parents involved to the extent needed.
How it works
We usually begin with a session where you as a parent take part, so that I get a picture of the situation and you can describe what you would like help with. After that your child and I meet regularly, and we check in with you as a parent along the way. The approach, pace and content are adapted to age and maturity.
Common areas are worry and anxiety, low mood, stress and high demands, low self-esteem, school-related difficulties and difficult events in the family.
For you as a parent
You do not need to know exactly what the problem is in order to get in touch. Your role matters: you know your child best, and part of the work is often to talk about everyday life at home and what could be helpful there. At the same time the child needs a space of their own, and older children have a right to a degree of confidentiality also in relation to their guardians. We talk through how we handle this from the very beginning.
Age and arrangements
I see children and young people under 18 for private treatment. If the child is under 16, treatment is private. If the child is 16 or 17, treatment can be private, or through Vårdval Psykoterapi when the criteria for Vårdval are met. Private sessions for children and young people follow the same prices as individual sessions.
